役に立つ表現 “Thank you for the input” について
———————————————————————————————————————————–
Mary: Jane, can I ask you a question?
Jane : Sure, what is it?
Mary : Well, John asked me out to dinner this week. I like him as a friend but I think he wants this to be a romantic date. I already said yes. What do you think I should say if he starts talking about dating regularly?
Jane : Hmmm…that’s a tough one. If I were you though, I would make it clear you value his friendship and want it to stay that way. If he continues you should tell him that you are just not ready to be in a relationship with anyone at this time. Honesty is best.
Mary : Hmmm…I’ll think it over. Thank you so much for your input.
Jane : My pleasure. Good luck!

“Thank you for the input” や “Thank you for your input” は、よく使う表現です。
Bill : John, I like the report you’re writing. I think if you write more about the budget for this project it will help the client to plan their schedule.
John : That’s a good point Bill. I’ll do a little more research and rewrite that section. Thanks for the input.
Bill : No problem.
